Amelia Meets the Gruffalo

Amelia Meets the Gruffalo

It’s been a busy few days but i cannot let another day go by without sharing a few photos of Amelia and the day she finally met the Gruffalo. I try to make the time and reserve enough energy to have date day with Amelia. This month’s date day was a visit to a local art museum who had on display not only The Gruffalo but all the characters from the books written by Julie Donaldson.

There were enough children there for Amelia to have fun playing but not so many that the exhibit was too full or too busy. However if you take a small child to such an exhibit don’t expect them to heed your words when you say to them ‘let’s go this way, first…’

First Amelia dressed as a ladybird, a costume she was not easily parted from.

Amelia first word when meeting the Gruffalo was 'monster' and she wasn't very impressed.

So Grandma had to show her that the Gruffalo wasn't that scary

Then the Gruffalo got a hug, in fact he ended up having lots of hugs

And a bird…

And didn’t we have a wonderful day.

Not sure what the Gruffalo is – It is a monster, who is outsmarted by a mouse!
